Not only sticks and stones, but words hurt too! “No weapon formed against me will prosper.”  This is a common message preached Sunday in many churches.  The belief that God will protect us from harm and give us peace is a main staple of doctrine in the church.   The weapon that destroys our life and our opportunity for success are the weapons we form against ourselves in our own mind.  Fear, low self esteem, lack of confidence, and lack of faith are weapons that we against ourselves and cause us to suffer loss.  We are the architects that formulate images of ourselves in our mind and these images eventually cause us to respond in ways that hinder our success in everything from relationships to finances. Our mind is one of the most powerful tools for use in our favor, and one of the most powerful weapons used against us.  The tongue is the deliverer of the message of the mind.  The tongue has the power to build up, and the power to tear apart.  To be able to tell what images are locked into your mind, listen to the words you use.  The words we use will tell you in complete detail what you truly think and feel about themselves and about the world around them.  Words will eventually become actions that cement the images of the mind.  When we speak words of destruction in our relationships, strife appears. We speak words of poverty, and insufficiency manifest itself.  We call into our lives those thinks we meditate on and speak into our lives.     When we take control of what we think, we can in fact give ourselves a better chance for success.    Want to have success in all areas of your life?  Start with changing your mind.
