Every Four Years Every four years is a pivotal time in America.  This is a time when new leadership is chosen to move the country in a new direction, or we keep the incumbent in order to stay the course.  This year (2008) we will change leadership.  Which leader and what direction is the question.  It is important that “We the people” choose a leader who not only sounds good, but actually has sound policies.  Policies based on what economist call positive statements, statements of fact and not normative statements based on opinion.  Many times we listen to potential leaders with emotion instead of intellect.  Many times we despise the old leadership so much that we may make a pact with the devil in order to make a change.  This election lets make sure we take the emotion out of our decision and decide based on fact not fiction, logic not emotion, and love of country instead of hate for one party or another.
